Online Group Therapy for Young Adults Who Experience Anxiety

A therapy group for young adults who want support around navigating the gap between finishing higher-education and entering the “real world”.

Feeling overwhelmed navigating the leap from college into “real life”? You’re not alone. The shift into adulthood, work life, and independence can stir up anxiety, self-doubt, and a sense of disconnection—even when things look like they’re going well on the outside.

This weekly therapy group is a space for young adults (22–30) to explore:

  • The pressure to “have it all figured out”

  • Anxiety around job interviews, performance, and adulting

  • Shifts in identity, friendships, and support systems

  • Difficulty setting boundaries or expressing needs at work

  • Imposter syndrome and fear of failure

Through open conversation, shared experiences, and therapist-guided reflection, we’ll explore how anxiety shows up in real time—and practice tools for self-regulation, connection, and clarity. This is not just a skills-only group; we will lean into honest, in-the-moment interactions to build insight and emotional resilience.

About Your Facilitator: Ekaterina Kapoustina

Before starting my own practice, I worked at a counselling centre working with college students for over 5 years; with individuals, couples, conducted therapy groups, workshops and other outreach activities. What’s more is that I know what it’s like to not have people support you - I still distinctly remember my high-school and university career advisors having terrible advice and even persuading me to reconsider my trajectory and act unauthentically.

Additionally, I have lived experience moving away from Ontario to Hawaii for my masters program and having experienced many common struggles that you may be familiar with - moving away from home for the first time, adjusting to a new culture, not knowing anyone, finding work as a student and new graduate, balancing school and work to make ends meet, building a support network after graduation, navigating romantic relationships, and much more.

I know first hand that challenges that students experience having counselling and mental health support in school to not being able to continue with that same support as they navigate the adjustment to the new adult responsibilities. This group is a way that I am trying to bridge the gap for recent graduates exiting the safe structure of school and leaping into real life head first.
